Braver Angels Debate

On the evening of Nov. 16, Barrett Honors College will host a Braver Angels debate for all honors students at ASU. This is not a competitive debate, but instead a structured debate format that teaches students to honor ideological diversity and foster civil discourse on college campuses. The debate will be immersive and highly participatory, inviting everyone in the room to express themselves freely in a collective search for truth.

Conducted in a light parliamentary format and chaired by trained experts, together we will express our views, frame persuasive arguments, listen deeply and engage respectfully around the most challenging political and social issues dividing our nation today.
