CAIS Film Series: Lion of the Desert

A historical Libyan action film featuring the Libyan leader Omar al-Mukhtar, a Bedouin leader fighting the Royal Italian Army in the years leading up to World War II and starring Anthony Quinn as Omar al-Mukhtar. The film was directed by Mustapha Akkad producer of The Message, which was nominated for Best Original Score at the 50th Academy Awards.
