Learn about some of the historic neighborhoods and "meet" some of the families and individuals who have seen and contributed to Chandler's maturation as a community and city.

Join Rafael A. Martínez, assistant professor of Southwest Borderlands in the School of Applied Sciences and Arts in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, for the unveiling of his traveling exhibit in its next home, the ASU Chandler Innovation Center. The installment debuted at the Chandler Museum in September 2023 and showcases his community-focused “Making of Querencia in Chandler” oral history project.

Professor Martínez and students from his ASU course HST 343: American Southwest will be on hand. The students will present their course final projects, which have grown out of their engagement with the histories collected in the project to-date.
