"Foundations" explores the impact and influence of skateboarding across varying backgrounds and identities. Within this lifestyle, individuals seek freedom of expression while simultaneously working within the grander collective to push boundaries and reach new heights. Tenacity and resilience are at the heart of this counter-cultural movement as it historically was denounced by popular culture and media. These artists hope to challenge their interpretations in the fine art realm.
