Herberger Young Scholars Academy Art Showcase

Event description

  • Arts and entertainment
  • Campus life
  • Open to the public

This exhibition showcases creative works by students of the Herberger Young Scholars Academy (HYSA) on ASU’s West campus. The academy provides highly gifted learners with a school experience best suited to their unique needs. A Cambridge International school, with early entry into Arizona State University, HYSA creates an environment where students can explore areas of interest and develop advanced skills and understanding far beyond what is available in a typical school environment. There the students have the possibility to explore and expand their passion, interest, or curiosity for the arts.

This collective is representative of various courses offered at HYSA and features work created during the 2022-2023 academic year in design, printing, painting, sculpture, photography, woodworking and many other mediums, styles and genres.

Come and meet Terence the T-Rex, a nine-foot-tall wood model dinosaur produced by the Art in Space course demonstrating the students’ representation of the artistic concept “A Different Point of View.”
