The Arizona Historical Society presents its fifth annual Juneteenth celebration at a new venue.
Due to renovations at the Arizona Heritage Center, we will be hosting Juneteenth at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, honoring our Tempe roots.
This year we present themes of resilience in education, migration, and family; featuring Black broadcasting history and a dance production choreographed by Todd Bailey and emceed by Nathan Quinn of ByDesign Entertainment.
Food will be delicious but on a first come, first served during the lunch hour only.
This event is in partnership with the Arizona Historical Society, ASU Library's Black Collections, and the Black Family Genealogy and History Society.
