Kayden Phoenix: Chicana Entrepreneur Shaking up the Film Industry

Kayden Phoenix is a queer Chicana writer and director from Boyle Heights, California. She is creator of the 1st Latina superhero team in comic book history A La Brava and created of the non-profit Chicana Directors Initiative. Her work as a filmmaker has won awards at film festivals and she was recipient of Panavision’s New Filmmakers Program.
