The Labriola National American Indian Data Center invites you to join the Ms. and Mr. Indigenous Royalty Court on Saturday, Nov. 16 for a special installment of the Knowledge From The Land series. This event, in partnership with the Labriola Center, will feature a walk at Moahdak Do’ag (South Mountain), where we’ll explore its geological history and cultural significance through storytelling.
Mr. Indigenous is particularly encouraging Indigenous youth to participate, as his platform focuses on connecting them with geoscience. The speakers for the event include the Labriola Center’s own Language Specialist Penrose Fulwilder, and Darryl Reano, assistant professor from the School of Earth and Space Exploration.
The event meets at Pima Canyon Trailhead (4500 E Pima Canyon Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85044) at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.
