Larissa FastHorse and Michael John Garcés in conversation on Fake it Until You Make it, a new play by Larissa FastHorse

Event description
- Arts and entertainment
- Free
Join Larissa FastHorse (playwright) and Michael John Garcés (director) for a conversation about their most recent collaboration– the world premiere of Fake It Until You Make It, presented by Center Theatre Group at the Mark Taper Forum here in Los Angeles and Arena Stage in Washington DC. At this talk, the longtime collaborators will share about their process developing this satirical farce about race, identity, and non-profit culture and why they believe in using comedy to explore complicated questions. FastHorse and Garcés are both ASU professors of practice at ACMRS in the English Department. The two have spent many years creating theatre through community engaged practices that center Indigenous voices and experiences through their work with ASU and beyond. Come hear about how they brought these practices into their rehearsal room of Fake it Until You Make It, running now at the Music Center in downtown LA.
All attendees will be given a discount code for tickets to the play.
