Join the Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement (OVMAE) for the opening reception of Legacy of Service: Stories in Color, an art exhibit honoring the creativity and experiences of U.S. military veterans and ASU student veterans.

This inaugural exhibit showcases a range artistic expressions that reflect the military experience and personal journeys of veteran artists. The exhibit will be open to the public from April 11-18, 2025, at the Applied Arts Pavilion on ASU’s Polytechnic campus.

Celebrate the power of storytelling through art at the reception on Friday, April 11, from 5-8 p.m. The evening will begin with opening remarks from Ryan Kirkpatrick, assistant professor in the School of Art specializing in the intersection of mental health and creative expression. Following his remarks, guests are invited to explore the exhibit at their own pace, talk to some of the artists and enjoy appetizers and refreshments.
