MVP Virtual Movie Screening (Salute to Service)

Event description

  • Free
  • Open to the public

Join us for a free virtual screening of the movie MVP. Inspired by actual events, this movie dramatizes the formation of Merging Vets & Players (MVP), an organization dedicated to helping people transition from the battlefield or playing field, to their next mission in life. The film features military veterans and former professional athletes both in front of and behind the camera.

The movie is set on the streets of Hollywood, where a recently retired NFL player is saved from scandal by a homeless veteran suffering from PTSD. With their glory days behind them, the two men bond in search of true purpose and identity.

Content Warning: Please be advised that the movie contains discussions and depictions of suicide, which may be distressing to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised. If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek help from a trusted professional or a helpline. ASU students, please contact 360 Life Services (online students) or ASU Counseling (on-campus students) for support and resources.
