'Nature Imagined' Exhibit

You're invited to visit the "Nature Imagined" exhibit at Noble Library on the Tempe campus. On display from Jan. 4 until March 10, this exhibit is open for ASU students, faculty and staff as well as visitors. Check library hours for exact times.

"Nature Imagined" is a series of paintings by Robert Palmer that explores the beauty and complexity of nature through the lens of memory and imagination. Drawing inspiration from his surroundings, Palmer creates landscapes that are more than mere representations of physical spaces; they are visual expressions of his emotions and perceptions of the world around him.

Palmer's paintings capture a moment in time, preserving a memory of a place that may no longer exist or has been transformed by time. He removes the figure from his compositions to focus the viewer's attention on the plane, creating a sense of transcendence from imaginative nature to
reality. His paintings are born from ethereal memories, blending representational and expressionistic styles to define nature.

Palmer graduated summa cum laude from the ASU School of Art with a bachelor's degree in painting. His work has been featured in various publications and he recently exhibited at the ASU Gammage on the ASU Tempe campus. Through his art, Palmer invites the viewer to explore the infinite possibilities of nature and to experience the beauty and wonder of the world around us.
