'Pass Over'

Event description

Thursday, March 16, 17 & 18 @ 7:30 p.m., March 19 @ 3 p.m.–“Pass Over”-Second Stage West

In a co-production between the School of Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies and iTheatre Collaborative, "Pass Over" by Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu does everything an experience in the theatre should do: evoke laughter, hope, heartbreak and joy. In this "powerful and provocative" new play (Arifa Akbar, The Guardian), Moses and Kitch talk smack, pass the time and hope that maybe today will be different. As they dream of their promised land, a stranger wanders into their space and disrupts their plans. Directed by IAP faculty Charles St. Clair, in its 96 minutes, "Pass Over" crafts everyday profanities into poetic and humorous riffs, illuminating the unquestionable human spirit of young men looking for a way out. For mature audiences only. A faculty–led discussion will take place after each performance for those interested.

For mature audiences only.
