Performance with a View - Creviston Duo

This internationally recognized duo, comprised of saxophone and piano, presents some of their favorite chamber works. 

Since their first performance in Carnegie Hall in 2007, Christopher and Hannah Creviston have been featured performers and teachers across the United States and abroad. Described as "impressive,...expressive...[and] engrossing" (Fanfare Magazine) and "first-rate" (American Record Guide), the Creviston Duo has several commissions and premieres to their credit, including works by Katherine Hoover, Stacy Garrop, John Anthony Lennon, Carter Pann, Gregory Wanamaker, Eric Schwartz, John Fitz Rogers, Carolyn Schubring, Mark Lanz Weiser and Mischa Zupko. The duo has released five CDs together: Snell Sessions and Columbia Sessions, both on the Albany Label, Sunday Afternoon and Breaking on CD Baby, and Phoenix Rising on the Blue Griffin Label. 

In demand as a soloist and clinician, Christopher Creviston performs regularly with the Capitol Quartet and in duo with guitarist Oren Fader. He has worked with many of America's premiere large ensembles, including the National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Baltimore Symphony and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras, and has appeared in venues ranging from Carnegie and Merkin to Paisley Park and the Apollo Theatre. Presently on faculty at Arizona State University, Dr. Creviston is Past-President of the North American Saxophone Alliance and has held teaching positions at the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam), the Greenwich House of Arts (NYC), the University of Windsor (Canada), and the University of Michigan. 

Hannah Creviston is Clinical Associate Professor of Piano Pedagogy, Keyboard Area Coordinator, Director of the Music Prep Program and Coordinator of Class Piano at Arizona State University. As a collaborative pianist, she has performed in festivals and competitions throughout the United States, collaborating with artists such as Terry Barber, Christopher Creviston, Geoffrey Deibel, Joe Lulloff, Jeffrey Loeffert, Timothy McAllister, John Nichol, Jonathan Nichol, Stephen Page, David Pittman-Jennings, James Umble, Robert Young and members of the United States Military Bands. She is also aresearcher, presenter, and published author on the effects of music on children with autism, as well as music by composers killed in the Holocaust. Prior to joining the faculty at ASU in Fall 2012, Creviston taught at the Crane School of Music.
