What does it mean to really listen to someone? Listening provides the opportunity to focus and be present with one another beyond the demands of the distraction economy. At its most radical, listening provides hospitality to people and ideas outside of our confirmation bias. by the Join us as the co-authors of "Rhetorical Listening in Action: A Concept-Tactic Approach" discuss the challenges, tools, and tactics for listening inside and outside the workplace. 

Bio: Krista Ratcliff is a Foundation Professor at ASU whose research focuses on intersections of rhetoric, feminist theory, and critical race studies. She is author of multiple books on gender, race, intersectionalities and rhetorics. 

Bio: Kyle Jensen is the director of Writing Programs at ASU. His research explores modern rhetorical theory and rhetorical education and most recently AI literacy. He is author of several books on writing studies and theories of rhetoric.
