safeTALK Training

Event description

- Health and wellness
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the Mental Health Division of the RISE Center is offering two opportunities to participate in safeTALK, an evidence-based training focused on fostering mental health and preventing suicide among undergraduates, graduates, staff, and faculty. At this half-day training, you will learn how to recognize the signs that someone may be struggling with thoughts of suicide, as well as how to start a conversation with them, how to talk about how they’re feeling, and how to help keep them safe. This is relevant to anyone interested in promoting mental health in the academic community. Participants will receive a certification for completing the program.
