Sales Tax & Online Sales Tax Issues in Indian Country

Event description

  • Open to the public

Professor Irvine and Professor Beetso are working with 5 ILP students  on two tax issues: 1) dual taxation and its impact on tribes and 2) online sales tax and its interplay with bedrock Indian law principles.

The students are producing a white paper on both topics that they'd like to share. They're inviting tribal leaders and other interested folks, through notice provided to the Inter-Tribal Council of Arizona and other channels, for a morning to discuss the white paper and its findings.

The students will provide a white paper to all attendees, both in-person and virtually, and they will lead the discussion as well.

Breakfast will be provided.

This event is hybrid and will be offered in person as well as virtually.
