'Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea'

Event description

  • Arts and entertainment
  • Open to the public

By Julia Izumi

Directed by Amanda Pintore

This playful, quirky, loose adaptation of "The Little Mermaid", about a Little Rain Cloud who falls in love with a human, explores the struggles of unrequited love. Meanwhile, a queer writer, Dolan (modeled on Hans Christian Anderson) reveals his personal struggles with relationships in this story about love and passion.

Content transparency: "Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea" includes profanity, verbal mentions of violence (stabbing and shooting) and death.
