Are you ready to hack for a better planet?

SpaceHACK for Sustainability returns for another exciting global hackathon. This two-day event brings students together to tackle real-world sustainability challenges using satellite data.

Sponsored by W. P. Carey’s Center for Responsible Supply Chain Management in the NASPO Department of Supply Chain Management, SpaceHACK connects students across disciplines and universities for collaboration, innovation and impact.

No prior satellite data experience is required; in-person and virtual participation options are available.

Visit the SpaceHACK website for details, partners, schedule and more info. Please note: SpaceHACK is for university and community college-enrolled students.

2026 Challenge Tracks

Students will choose from three sustainability-focused tracks:

  • From Port to Planet: Tracking the Net-Zero Supply Chain
  • Nature’s Flood Wall: Mangroves and Coastal City
  • Truth from Orbit: Climate Change and the Alpine Information Battle

Whether your interests lie in sustainability, logistics, climate science, social impact, or data storytelling, SpaceHACK offers a collaborative space to learn and make a difference.
