Arizona State University graduate and undergraduate commencement will be held in person on Monday, May 11. Graduate commencement begins at 9 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m. Other ceremonies and convocations will be held from Friday, May 8 through Saturday, May 16.

Graduating students who wish to participate in commencement ceremonies must register in advance.

Legendary actor and conservation and environmental advocate Harrison Ford will speak at the undergraduate commencement ceremony on Monday, May 11, 7:30 p.m. at Mountain America Stadium. Ford has brought to life some of the most enduring characters in film history, including Han Solo in the “Star Wars” movies. His career has spanned more than six decades and included the hit movies “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Witness,” “Patriot Games,” “Blade Runner,” “The Fugitive” and “Presumed Innocent.” Most recently, he starred in the TV Western “1923” and the comedy drama “Shrinking.”

Philanthropist and businessman Howard Graham Buffett, chairman and CEO of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, one of the largest private philanthropic organizations in the world, will also speak at the event. Buffett has dedicated his life to tackling some of the world’s most urgent challenges, from food insecurity to conflict and global stability.
