Thursday Mini Tournament - CS:GO

Come join the AME Esports Lounge for our next Thursday Mini Tournament of the Fall 2023 semester! We will be playing a 3v3 CS:GO tournament. You can join us in-person or online for some friendly competition amongst friends new and old.

Tournament format

Bracket

The tournament will be played as a double elimination, normal game bracket. The bracket will be randomly created at the start of the event based on the number of registered teams/players.

Game Mode

We will play each match a single standard game.

CSGO Version

Due to Counter-Strike 2 having limited options for custom or private games, we will be playing this tournament on CS:GO. To access CS:GO through Steam please follow the instructions below:

1. Right click Counter-Strike 2 in your Steam library and select 'Properties'
2. In the properties window, select the Betas tab on the left
3. In the section for 'Beta Participation', click the menu that says 'None' and select 'csgo_legacy'
4. On your next launch Steam will redownload CSGO.
5. To go back to CS2 after the tournament, follow steps 1&2, then set the beta participation back to none.
