Traces Between

"Traces Between" is a solo MFA exhibition by Dylan Fitzgibbons. The work examines ideas of reality, and what it means to be created through the collaboration of the physical world and imagined spaces. The curated environment is filled with superimposed black-sand sculptures that teeter between the light and shadows, begging for attention before shying away.

This body of work is informed by folklore, the natural world, thin spaces, and ideas of "traces", the exhibition walks the line between what is seen and what is felt and questions how this line is used to influence our navigation of the world around us, as individuals and groups. Sharpened contours, foreign glows, fading clarity, and implacable sounds all culminate to develop an atmosphere of uncertainty. Look into the shadows to find your vision.
