Uncovering the Wagner Group
Event description
- Campus life
- Open to the public
One year into Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Future Frontlines presents its latest investigation into the Wagner Group, ostensibly a private military company headed by oligarch Evgeny Prigozhin. Wagner fighters are on the frontlines in Ukraine and have deployed to conflict hotspots around the world including Mali, the Central African Republic, and Libya. Drawing on years of research into the Wagner Group’s operations, history, and expansive online communities, the panel will delve into the Wagner Group narrative, which distracts - intentionally - from the organization’s true origin and structure.
