Webinar+ Tools content: Webinar+ Tools session will spotlight the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale (GSRS), initially developed for assessing gastrointestinal symptoms in clinical settings. Our published research has explored the test-retest reliability of the GSRS over time in an active population, providing valuable insights into its application in sports science. As a bonus, a link to the version of the GSRS we've utilized in our studies will be made accessible to all webinar sign-ups. BIO: Alex Mohr is a postdoctoral fellow funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK; T32 grant) and US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), specializing in gut microbiome research through the lens of multi-omics and bioinformatics. His research bridges the disciplines of microbiology, metabolomics, and nutrition to explore the critical role of the gut microbiome in overall well-being and disease prevention. With a focus on how diet and exercise influence gut microbiota, Alex utilizes this relationship as a framework to study microbial and host adaptation processes. His innovative methodologies contribute significantly to the understanding of resilience within the gut ecosystem.
