Body Bags

Body Bags brings together four artists meditations on the body and its relationship to violence. During the reception, the artists will introduce their artistic investigations four activations to take place over the course of the exhibition. 

This year’s exhibition is curated by Liz Cohen, Professor, School of Art.

Join the ASU FIDM Museum for a guest lecture with esteemed costume designer Ann Foley for a conversation around her process, career and work on iconic franchises such as Godzilla x Kong, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and most recently, Season 2 of the 24x Emmy nominated series, The Last of Us, with Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and Kaitlyn Dever.

In 1931, when filming wrapped for the day on Universal Horror’s Bela Lugosi “Dracula,” a second film crew used the same sets to shoot another version of the film at night - in Spanish. The Sidney Poitier New American Film School partners with Milagro Cinemas for a special screening of this rarely exhibited gem of early Latino cinema from a short-lived era when Hollywood catered to non-English-speaking audiences before the popularization of subtitles.
