Reception: 5:30 p.m.

Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday to honor the dearly departed and reunite them with the living. It’s a cultural tradition indigenous to Mexico, dating back thousands of years to the earliest and most glorious civilizations in Mesoamerica.

As every year, Barrett Downtown will host the Day of the Death Celebration to honor this tradition with great Mexican Food, Mariachis, Folkloric Dancers and the majestic Ofrenda de Dia de Muertos. This event will be held at the ASU Mercado Courtyard on November 2, 2023 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Do you like art? Do you want to exhibit your art at the Barrett Suite at the Mercado and with the Barrett community? Would you like to win a big price with art supplies?

Please bring your painting, drawing, sculpture, demo tape, mock-up, video, story, or poem to the  Barrett Mercado Suite from Oct. 16 to Oct. 20. The artworks will be exhibited on our social media channels and in our Barrett Art reception on October 26 where we will announce the winners of the amazing prices.
