Phoenix Transect

Phoenix Transect features the work of ASU alumni who participated in a multi-year field study with Professor Emeritus Mark Klett. Images record and explore the changing landscape of the Phoenix metro area, from the expansion of suburbia into the desert and the construction of the light rail system to the photographic cataloging of contemporary artifacts in the Salt River and documenting the foreclosure crisis.

We are proud to announce the ASU MFA Open Studios Events for Spring 2024 on March 16, 1-5 p.m.

Come see what our amazing cohort of artists are up to and explore the facilities at Grant Street Studios!

"Ever Once Again" is a solo MFA Thesis Exhibition by Belarusian painter Volha (Lola) Panco. The exhibition features large-scale immersive paintings that explore the impact of social and political upheavals on our relationship with the environment, turning it from a leisure and resource to one of shelter and survival. Through elements of cityscapes, vegetation, and light, it highlights the emergence, endurance, and demise of beings, reflecting on the delicate balance of ecosystems, the consequences of power structures, and the natural cycles of life and death.
