The ASU Community is invited to learn more about urban gardening at the ASU Garden Commons located at the Polytechnic Campus. Garden Commons maintains a community garden with 16 raised beds and and orchard with over 20 fruit trees.

During the volunteer event participants will help with miscellaneous garden tasks including planting, harvesting, weeding, compost and seed starting.

Are you looking for an effective way to dispose of hard-to-recycle office materials? Do you want to support a greener, more sustainable campus? Join us for an on-campus office recycling event hosted by University Sustainability Practices. This event is your opportunity to responsibly recycle a wide range of office materials, from old binders and pens to electronics and other items that are often difficult to recycle.

Join us for a hands-on demonstration of how to harvest, clean, and prepare prickly pear fruits foraged from campus. We will begin with a short discussion and demo. We will finish with an opportunity to participate in processing and a walk around campus to harvest your own.

This event is open to Barrett, The Honors College students. Join us for a Poly Picnic, Family Weekend edition, featuring delicious tacos and a chance to mingle with Barrett families and staff! Enjoy a variety of taco options and great company in the Barrett Suite on the first floor of Lantana Hall. Barrett students: don’t forget to bring your Barrett Bucks to purchase new items!

The campus sustainability walking tour focuses on ASU’s sustainability programs, goals, and design elements. This 45-minute tour will take you through the heart of ASU’s Polytechnic campus. The ASU sustainability walking tours are guided tours that focus on showcasing the efforts and initiatives being made by ASU to promote sustainability and environmental conservation. The tour includes visits to green buildings, community gardens, renewable energy sites, and other environmentally-friendly infrastructure.

Join us to hear from Dr. Simon Flandin. This talk will present Dr. Flandin's research agenda, encompassing key topics, theoretical frameworks, methodologies, and empirical findings. The research addresses safety, security, resilience, simulation training, and learning and development. My approach is comprehensive, qualitative, and use-oriented, with a foundation in phenomenological and semiotic analysis of cognition and practice (Poizat et al., 2023).
