Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that uses the scientific method, processes, algorithms and systems to extract valuable meaning and insights from data. In this kickoff session, the ASU Library's Unit for Data Science and Analytics team will provide details of our upcoming events and opportunities to get involved in data science and analytics. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Presenters: Kerri Rittschof, Namig Abbasov and Abi Mercado Rivera.

Books are not the only way to understand and access Truth. Project Humanities Founding Director Dr. Neal Lester explains how and why artifacts are just as important tools of social justice as are books. In partnership with ASU Library's Black Collections, join us in this exciting interactive event, where attendees are invited to bring something that connects them with a social justice issue.

Join Dr. Neal A. Lester in a conversation about and signing of this 2024 book, Social Justice in Action: Models for Campus and Community. This edited volume “showcase(s) practical approaches to diversity, equity, and inclusion.” The volume is rooted in humanities work and emphasizes the principles of ASU Project Humanities’ Humanity 101®– compassion, empathy, forgiveness, integrity, kindness, respect, and self-reflection.

Join the Labriola National American Indian Data Center for a conversation with the current American Library Association (ALA) President Cindy Hohl.

Hohl is a member of the Santee Sioux Nation and is the second Native American to hold the position. She is also past president of the American Indian Library Association and past recipient of ALA’s inaugural Spectrum Changemaker Award.
