Join the Labriola National American Indian Data Center for a conversation with the current American Library Association President Cindy Hohl.

Hohl is a member of the Santee Sioux Nation and is the second Native American to hold the position. She is also past president of the American Indian Library Association and past recipient of ALA’s inaugural Spectrum Changemaker Award.

These days, listening to the acoustic environment can be difficult, and we rarely take the time to listen to the world around us. Join the ASU Acoustic Ecology Lab and ASU Library staff as we explore the world of sound and learn the three listening modes. These three modes will help you understand how sound travels through the built and natural environment.

The group meets Nov. 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4 from noon to 1 p.m.

Meet on Level 1 of Hayden Library near the Information Desk by the south entrance doors.

Sun Devil Gratitude Week is Nov. 12 to 15! Take a moment to reflect and share your appreciation through art. Enjoy a calm break and say thank you to someone you care about in your life by creating a personalized postcard. All supplies are provided and everyone is welcome to attend! Join ASU Library for a relaxing afternoon of coloring and gratitude.

Join Naturespace in learning about species within the natural history collection. In this Nature Journaling exercise, we get up and personal with one specimen within the collection. Observe, document, and ask questions about how nature forms patterns.
