Beats and Beading

Close-up of beads

In conjunction with our annual Lofi study session at Tempe campus, the Labriola Center and American Indian Student Services at Fletcher Library will be plugging in to the Lofi DJ session while making beaded earrings and medallions. Students will create and take home a pair of beaded earrings or a medallion using a cabochon centerpiece, seed beads, beading needles, nylon thread and faux leather. This session is based on mindfulness and celebratory of Indigenous artistry in jewelry and beading. Spend the evening at the Labriola Center Open Stacks in Fletcher library listening to Indigenous beats amongst good friends and end the night with a sparkly set of earrings or medallion! Space is limited. Register today!
