Tell His Story: Aaron Allen Marner
Tell His Story: Aaron Allen Marner
As part of ASU West’s Black History Month celebration, the School of Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies presents a new virtual exhibit of the artwork of Aaron Allen Marner in a show titled "Tell His Story." Marner is a visual artist whose work has sought to capture and express his own experience as an African American artist. Much of his recent work has been inspired and influenced by the national conversation and response initiated by the Black Lives Matter movement. He is a mixed media artist and often paints using acrylics and oils on a variety of surfaces, and his work employs various styles and impulses, from portrait to collage to mural. He resides in Phoenix, Arizona, and is enjoying commissions for his work from around the country. The link to the virtual gallery is: https://publish.exhibbit.com/gallery/092216845/long-gallery-36288/. The installation continues through February 28.
