Transitions : Liminality explores the space between no longer and not yet. The 2023 Senior Showcase features original choreographic works by BFA Dance students. This event is a multi-genre dance production that ranges from contemporary to hip-hop to dance theater.

Journey behind the scenes of Tempe Diablo Stadium in a play set just moments before Game 7 of the World Series. Audiences travel through nine vignettes as each scene builds suspense around a young immigrant baseball pitcher facing difficult decisions before the game. This play by Gabriel Greene and Alex Levy examines the complex intersection between baseball, politics and the American Dream.

This project is partially funded by the City of Tempe–Community Arts Grant.

In this intimate performance, Turkish master musician Şendoğan Karadeli brings the intricate string sounds and passionate songs of Turkish folk music to the recital hall. Karadeli is a performer and teacher of the long-necked Anatolian lute Baglama. For more than 40 years, he has taught at the renowned Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory for Turkish Music and in his private studio. He has given numerous concerts and workshops in countries including Norway, Finland, Russia, Germany, Libya, Denmark, Austria, England, and Switzerland.

ASU faculty, Brad Edwards (trombone) is featured on Howls and Hymns by Viet Cuong.
Also on the concert is music from Leonard Bernstein’s "Romeo and Juliet" inspired "West Side Story" and Paul Hindemith’s epic Symphony in Bb.
