"Passage and Pulse" offers a rich exploration of movement, memory, and musical form. Anchored by Saint-Saëns’s dramatic Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor and Schumann’s radiant Symphony No. 2 in C major, the program traces expressive arcs that are both intimate and grand.

Notice to Herberger Institute Faculty, Staff, Students and Mirabella Residents:

The Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble present a special evening that celebrates our beloved state through music. This concert showcases the exceptional talents of Arizona composers and performers, and includes a guest conductor, ASU student conductor and graduate conductors, a faculty composer and high school student composer, a guest artist and faculty artist, and two world premieres. The program also includes a unique visual and musical collaboration with the Desert Botanical Garden (Dr. Challie Facemire, CAZCA Director), with music composed by ASU's Dr.

New York-based Harlem Quartet has been praised for its “panache” by The New York Times and hailed in the Cincinnati Enquirer for “bringing a new attitude to classical music, one that is fresh, bracing and intelligent.” Harlem Quartet advances diversity in classical music while engaging new audiences with varied repertoire that includes works by minority composers. Their mission to share their passion with a wider audience has taken them around the world, including a 2009 performance at The White House and a successful tour of South Africa.

The choirs of ASU celebrate the end of a successful semester with a culmination performance together. Featuring Barrett Symphonic Choir, Canticum Bassum, Choral Union, Concert Choir, Gospel Choir and Sol Singers.
