Join us for an advance book launch, reading and discussion with playwrights and ASU faculty Larissa FastHorse and Michael John Garcés. The book, “Native Nation Project,” includes three plays FastHorse and Garcés created with Indigenous communities, including “Native Nation,” which was produced by ASU Gammage in 2019.
This special event will bring together original cast members and current ASU students to perform a reading, followed by a discussion about the future of the project, moderated by Ty Defoe. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Tomohiro Hatta, winner of several international piano competitions, will perform works by Moussorgski, Debussy, and Chopin. He is currently Professor of Piano and Accompaniment in a conservatoire in the Yvelines department near Paris, and a full member of the Piano Teachers’ National Association of Japan (PTNA).

Each month our community of talented producers meet for 60 Min Flips. The group receives a track to sample, recorded straight from vinyl, and is given 60 minutes to create a beat in any style or genre. Sample Flip is open to all producers.

Pianist, composer, improviser and ASU alumnus Mauricio Arias-Esguerra is a versatile Colombian musician whose work spans continents and styles. A prizewinner in multiple international competitions, he has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Festival di Spoleto and with major ensembles including the Medellín Philharmonic. His albums ¡Colombia Viva! (Volumes 1 and 2, Toccata Classics) showcase contemporary music from his homeland, and his collaborations range from trumpeter Pacho Flores to violinist Aisha Syed.
