Join the ASU MIX Center for our Fall 2025 MIXibition! This will be a night to engage the ASU and Mesa communities with work from graduate students and faculty across various disciplines in the ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.

Experience a night filled with FREE immersive exhibits and artwork, open for all to enjoy. The exhibit will be held inside the ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center in Downtown Mesa, AZ running from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. 

Ropa Remix is a community clothing swap organized by the ASU MIX Center Community Action Board to support neighbors in Mesa and reduce textile waste. Participants are invited to bring clean, gently used clothing and swap for new-to-you items. Remaining clothing will be donated to Helen’s Hope Chest, which supports foster children and families in need in Mesa.

Join us for the opening performance of A Forest’s Worth, an immersive archive and storytelling experience that uses virtual reality and large-scale projection to recreate the environment and narratives of Alaska’s Tongass National Forest. Designed to raise awareness and inspire support for the roadless rule protections that safeguard this vital wilderness, the project invites audiences to witness the forest’s beauty and fragility firsthand.

Phantom Frequencies II is an immersive, interdisciplinary showcase that reimagines the haunting worlds of Edgar Allan Poe through sound, space and visual storytelling.

Presented by students from The Sidney Poitier New American Film School, School of Music Dance and Theatre and GAME school, this 2025 edition combines immersive audio drama, original voice performances and projected haunting visuals inspired by Poe’s gothic imagination.

Join Unreal Engine creators for a Halloween-themed meetup at the ASU MIX Center! Sonoran Spooks and Scans brings together local developers, digital artists, and 3D scanning enthusiasts for an evening of creativity, connection, and spooky fun. Presented by UE at Tempe.

Attendees can enjoy pizza, candy, and community while exploring the world of 3D scanning and real-time design. Costumes are encouraged and there may be some hauntingly fun surprises!

Hosted by the Endless Games & Learning Lab at the ASU MIX Center, the Game Jam is a premier 48-hour game development competition event running from November 1-2, 2025. 

This jam brings together the brightest student creators from across the state in partnership with ASU, NAU, University of Arizona, UAT, and GCU to CREATE new video games from scratch, COMPETE for cash and prizes, and UNITE with future teammates and industry professionals.

Join The Sidney Poitier New American Film School for a special Speaker Series engagement with Emmy Award-nominated director Randal Kleiser and Emmy Award-nominated producer Michael Peyser as they discuss the new frontier of emerging technologies in filmmaking. Kleiser is a member of the Sci Tech Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and his varied filmography (“Grease,” “Flight of the Navigator,” “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid”) has been at the forefront of technical innovation.

The ReMix Startup Design track invites 100 high schoolers from Mesa Public Schools to develop pitches for “MIX’d media” and spatial startups focused on sustainable food systems and social determinants of health. Pitch competition is at the Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute at The Studios next door to MIX Center.
