This event is open to all Barrett, The Honors College students. Interested in becoming a Barrett Mentor for Fall 2026? Attend a Barrett Mentoring Program information session to learn what the role involves, how mentors support first-year students, and how the program helps returning students grow as leaders while earning honors credit. Information sessions will cover mentor responsibilities, time commitment, course enrollment, and the application process. These sessions are the best way to decide if the Barrett Mentoring Program is the right fit for you.

Curious about where an engineering degree can take you? Come hear from Barrett Alumni as they share real-world perspectives, career paths, and advice from across engineering fields.

The first 5 in-person attendees will receive a Barrett padfolio!

Dinner from Chipotle will be provided. RSVP encouraged.

How can federal agencies and policymakers assess the ways in which financial sponsorship shapes the evidence base used to inform regulation, treatment coverage, and public health decision-making? As scientific output grows at an exponential scale, existing oversight tools such as disclosure notices struggle to keep pace with the volume and complexity of potential conflicts of interest in health research.

When 23andMe, a pioneer in direct-to-consumer genetic testing, filed for bankruptcy in March 2025, consumers, state and federal regulators, and policymakers were caught flatfooted over the fate of the sensitive genetic data of some 15 million Americans. As growing volumes of genetic—and increasingly full genomic—data are collected and stored by private firms, this episode underscores the likelihood that similar scenarios will recur across the biotechnology, health data, and digital health sectors.

How You Can Help

We know this time of year is stressful. Focusing on the final semester while ALSO considering what is next for you can be overwhelming. Come join us for a workshop to help get your head in the right space to make decisions that will impact your future. You know yourself best; and you will be using that knowledge to help guide yourself in the right direction.
On Friday, February 20th, 2026, please join ASU social work students, faculty and staff to pause, learn, and reflect on the words of Black authors during Black History Month.
