You may know how a typical butterfly wing looks, but would you recognize it magnified by 100 times its normal size? Drop into ASU Library's Naturespace third floor of Hayden Library for a fun microscope guessing game to find out! View specimens through the microscope and test your knowledge of the microscopic level. Microscopic structures can tell us much about how organisms interact with their environments. Be amazed by nature’s hidden structures!

Join Black River Life at ASU Art Museum as they facilitate a listening circle inspired by the exhibit Twin Flames: The George Floyd Uprising from Minneapolis to Phoenix. This event features local artists and activists in conversation with each other to process and tap into thoughts, emotions, and memories brought up by this exhibit, as well as their own experiences here in the Valley.

Join us for a poetry reading by Juan Carlos Galeano.

During the event, we will present Professor Galeano with the 2024 Seras Puentes Award. This award is Spanish for “bridge beings” and recognizes service to the arts and humanities and social and environmental justice on behalf of humans, animals, plants, and all living things.

Each semester, the School for the Future of Innovation in Society Student Showcase features undergraduate and graduate research, applied projects, theses, and dissertations.

Participating Students - All current SFIS students are encouraged to participate. Students must submit their abstract in order to be eligible to present their poster before March 25, 2024 at midnight. SURF program students do not need to register using this application form to participate.
