These workshops are places for you to brainstorm topics, learn about the honors thesis process, gain feedback on your ideas, ask questions, and create a to-do list for your honors thesis.

Come take a break at the Polytechnic campus Library with therapy dogs and cat! Dogs from Sun Devil Paws Therapy will visit the library on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 12 - 3 p.m.

We'll be located in the Poly library located on the lower level of the Academic Center building.

The campus sustainability walking tour focuses on ASU’s sustainability programs, goals, and design elements. These 45 min tours will take you through the heart of each of ASU’s four campuses. The ASU sustainability walking tours are guided tours that focus on showcasing the efforts and initiatives being made by ASU to promote sustainability and environmental conservation. The tour includes visits to green buildings, community gardens, renewable energy sites, and other environmentally-friendly infrastructure.

Learn to practice powerful, life changing skills in just four hours. 

safeTALK is a half-day training in suicide alertness skills for individuals 15 years or older. safeTALK is a training for members of the ASU Community to support and advance mental health promotion and suicide prevention strategies. Members of ASU’s community at large provide this training.

safeTALK participants will gain confidence in asking people about suicide directly, connecting them to life-saving resources, and keeping them safe until helpful resources are in place.

Parents and family members of current Sun Devils are invited to celebrate Sun Devil spirit, pride and tradition with their student(s) on Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24-26. Family Weekend will feature a wide variety of exciting events for your entire family to enjoy as you reconnect with your student during an ASU football weekend.

Join Latinx Oral History Lab co-directors Associate Professor Vanessa Fonseca-Chávez and Assistant Professor Rafael Martínez in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts to learn about this new lab space, available to students and faculty interested in pursuing oral history research and community-based storytelling initiatives and programming. Learn more about what the lab has been working on, including exciting projects focused on smells and belonging in Mesa, the history of Day of the Dead, and how communities narrate their sense of place across Arizona.

This dynamic event brings together students, alumni and faculty to highlight the many ways narratives shape our experiences and perspectives. Each faculty or alumni speaker will discuss the ways they use narratives in their professions. Through engaging presentations, project updates and hands-on activities, attendees will explore a variety of topics showcasing the diverse impact of storytelling across different mediums and contexts.
