Join The Sidney Poitier New American Film School and Milagro Cinemas for a special Hispanic Heritage Month Screening of the 1962 surrealist Mexican Black comedy “The Exterminating Angel.” Luis Buñuel, Spanish and Mexican surrealist filmmaker (“Un Chien Andalou,” “L’Age d’Or”), directs Silvia Pinal, one of the great stars of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, in a satirical masterpiece. Film Synopsis

In Spring 2022 Masha prepares to leave Russia - her homeland that has changed, while things in her life are falling apart without much time to grieve or process them. Anger guides her and other young Russians to “inner emigration”, a prelude to real-life departure. A kaleidoscope of “shards” chronicles not only the spirit of the time, but the director's own personality crumbling and drifting against the backdrop of global turmoil.
